TYTAP uses a cognitive-behavioral approach that addresses changes in expectations related to tobacco use as well as an increased awareness of the impact of one's environment in decision-making. The emphasis is on increasing tobacco knowledge and building skills that can help motivate youth to quit using tobacco.
The course, which is certified by the Department of State Health Services, is 8 hours long and held over two weeks. Participants may attend the class upon receipt of a completed registration form and a non-refundable fee in the amount of $50.00. Payment must be by cash or money order payable to Managed Care Center. All classes are conducted at MCC's Lubbock office, located at:
